I’m thrilled to announce that in addition to my own writing, several comrades will be joining comradebirb.com as columnists writing on multiple subjects and from a variety of perspectives. I’ve invited a few different comrades I had in mind, have heard back from a few, still need to ask a few more, and I’m waiting on word back from others. I’m really excited to be able to share writing space with them and I think we have the potential to do some great collaborative work to help make socialism and the perspectives of people outside of your own circles more accessible. Developing an understanding of other people and the problems they face helps us build back some of the empathy we’ve all been stripped of to one degree or another living under this individualist social order. We have been conditioned to accept atrocities as a normal way of life. It is not.
Through our writing here, I hope we can help readers understand our shared world better and by helping build people’s ability to imagine a world beyond Capitalism, the genocide it requires, and the ecocide it’s already causing. We can do better, and I hope my comrades and I can convince you of that, help you understand what is needed on each of our parts to achieve it, and build solidarity.
